I am of the opinion that the greatest privilege the God of the universe has bestowed upon His children is having chosen them to be the bearers of the Gospel message to the world around them. In His perfect wisdom and according to the counsel of His own will, for the purpose of His glorious grace, God has entrusted imperfect mortal beings with a perfect message to a lost and dying world.
I, for one, cannot fathom why God would give me such an honor and privilege because, after all, I look in the mirror every day and I also know what at times issues from a heart that suffers from what some have termed the ‘sin hangover’. I do know that whatever sin still lingers within this aging mortal, God has spoken these words through the Apostle Paul:
“As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”” Romans 10:15
Paul was quoting from the Isaiah 52:7, which spoke of Israel’s deliverance from captivity and the coming Messiah. It’s the message of the Messiah who has come, suffered and died for our sins, and who was resurrected to glory with which we as believers are concerned and that is our sacred trust.
This blog is about sharing the gospel message, the good news, from the perspective of one who served as a soldier in the U.S. military for almost 30 years, and as an believer in Chris for nearly all of that time. . This site is dedicated to all believers engaged in personal evangelism, and especially the men and women who currently serve in our military forces, here and abroad, and who likewise carry the message of the Cross to their comrades in arms.
I hear you dear brother, I have in the last few years seen how much this flesh hates and resists the Holiness of God!
This realization keeps us, no causes us to run to Jesus, because HE is made perfect in WEAKNESS! The more we realize our weaknesses, the more grace is given.
And this keeps us humble, (hopefully) and needy, our NEED is within the only one who can and is our HOPE!
The Lord bless you, look forward to reading more of your blog.
A brother in Christ Jesus…….

It’s good to meet another brother! Wasn’t it Paul who described our predicament in Romans 7?
